In order to propel his professional business knowledge, he also obtained a second Master’s degree in Finance and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School.

Before establishing EXANTE,Eglitis worked as an institutional business sales manager at Saxo Bank, a Danish investment bank specialising in online investment and trading. At Saxo, he primarily worked in institutional sales, relationship management, and business development. These areas provided him with plenty of experience and ended up being very helpful when it came to founding EXANTE.

Start of EXANTE

GatisEglitis, along with Anatoliy Knyazev and Alexey Kirienko established EXANTE in 2011 in Malta. EXANTE is a global investment company that provides direct market access to over 50 financial markets worldwide, along with over 600,000 instruments such as stocks, Exchange-Traded Funds, bonds, futures, options, and metals. The brokerage firm’s mission focuses on making investment service products as fluid and accessible as information is in the 21st century. This is because the founders saw technology as a way to improve global connectivity, resulting in them building EXANTE’s trading platform to centralise access to thousands of financial instruments in addition to streaming real-time market data to investors.

At its time of founding, EXANTE was the only provider of global access for Maltese-based investors, although the company was open to serving a wide range of clients. This included local, international, and long-only equity investors. Eglitis first became a member of the investment and executive committee of the head office of Malta. After five years on the job, he then took over as Managing Partner, becoming responsible for the company’s strategic planning and business development.

In Eglitis’ eyes, he wanted EXANTE to become a one-stop-shop for traders of all experience levels and expertise. He also wanted the firm to be able to meet the needs of large hedge funds as well. To achieve this goal, Eglitis believed that EXANTE must provide competitive prices for its services, make leverage accessible, and grant access to exotic tools that can offer a personalised and efficient trading experience.

Eglitis also positioned the brokerage firm to meet the needs of novice and inexperienced traders. As he states, “Everyone is welcome, and prices are the same for everyone, regardless of whether they are high or low-volume traders.” This meant EXANTE would provide the maximum range of services and instruments for everyone in addition to a high level of transparency in the firms’ pricing and business models.

EXANTE currently

Under the leadership of the three founders, EXANTE has now developed into a globally regulated broker with offices all over the world. The investment company is regulated and licensed in all the regions it is based in. For instance, it is regulated by the CySEC in Cyprus, the MFSA in Malta, the FCA in the UK, and the SFC in Hong Kong.

With its sophisticated technology, EXANTE provides clients with a trading platform that can access over 600,000 financial instruments all from a single multi-currency account. The large selection of instruments available allows traders to easily diversify their portfolios efficiently.

The EXANTE trading platform also boasts a network of over 1,100 servers all over the world to ensure the lowest latencies and safe data transfer.EXANE’s clients can therefore trade the broker’s entire offerings in global markets all from a single account.
